The entry into force of the Financial Services Act (LSFIN) and the Financial Institutions Act (LEFIN) in January 2020 requires client advisers to register on: the Swiss Register of Financial Advisors.

The concept of client advisers is relatively broad and includes in particular current distributors of collective investment schemes, distributors of financial instruments and investment advisers, whether based in Switzerland or abroad.

ARIF has been approved by FINMA since September 14, 2020 as a registration body in the Register of client advisers.

Client advisors have since January 20, 2021 to apply for inclusion in the Register. Otherwise, they will not longer be authorised to continue their activities.
